Dan, Jane and Family....a wonderful , wonderful obituary says it all. Matty `G´ ( as I called him from his younger years) was an truly one of a kind. His life showed many of us, despite his journey, how to live. He fought hard for many years. I will remember him for quick wit,
stubbornness, and how we always ` discussed´ our Red Sox- Yankee rivalry. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face;the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand. Joe Gintoli ( Joey G) Venice, Florida.

I´ve had the pleasure of meeting Matt several times while working. He was always so positive even in unpleasant situations! I was heartbroken to see this today!!! He and his family were some of the nicest people I´ve met! Rest In Peace Matt!!!

I truly believe people like Matt are on this earth to inspire and show us what life is all about. I didn't know him but just reading how he lived his life should inspire all who read it. I am sure those who were fortunate enough to meet and know him will carry him in their hearts forever. May he rest in peace

There are no words to ease your pain at the passing of your son and brother Matthew. He leaves such a legacy and his spirit will live on in all who met and loved him. Matt was an inspiration in how he lived each day and his absence will be felt deeply by those touched by his story.

It´s heartbreaking for me read this obituary. I have a son with the same injury. I console myself knowing those that suffer in some way on earth go straight to heaven. I´m sure Matthew is in heaven.
