My heart is with you during your time of grief- I cannot begin to imagine how it feels and from what I know, this past year has been extremely difficult. I don't know you, or your family but I have a brother around Matt's age and picture my dad going through the same situation and it tears me up at the thought. You are in my prayers. May God give you strength, peace, refuge and hold your heart.

Please accept my deepest heartfelt sympathy in the loss of Matthew. I was fortunate to share a couple of years with Matthew as he was in my classroom in Elementary School. He brought sunshine into our days. Matthew and his Mom came as a pair and I could always depend on Elizabeth as a volunteer on fieldtrips and in helping and extending kids' learning in the classroom. She was wonderful. They made a great team and the love and pride they had in each other was plain to see. To have Matthew so lovingly remembered and mourned isn't a surprise. I had no doubt he would be one of those people who would leave a mark on others' hearts forever. Matthew will live on through us as we go on trying to make the best of each day and live our lives with caring and gratitude. That was Matthew's way. That was Matthew's Mom's way too.

Matthew you will always have a place in my heart. I remember all the times i spent at your house with you almost every weekend in junior high. All the hockey on the outdoor ice and listening to Sharon yell at us to get to sleep cause we had lacrosse practice in the morning.

I am so sorry Matt's life was taken so soon. I have a son the same age and this tragedy has deeply touched a place in my heart. I keep thinking of him and the family. Our condolences.

Ken, I am deeply sorry for your personal losses of your wife and son this year. I can only imagine how incredibly sad this time is for you. I did not know either your son or wife but I know that they will be with God and I pray that you may find strength in God's love at such a difficult time.
