My siblings and I had the privilege of growing up with Matt through church, school and the neighborhood. There really isn´t a lot of memories before we moved North that didn´t include the Nowkas. We lived very close, saw each other at the bus stop, and every Sunday, we went to AWANA together and our families socialized often. Matt was a core part of our childhood and the memories we hold dear.
I´m really heartbroken for Matt´s wife, his children, and Andy, Denny, Jane and extended family. My prayers are with you.

We were good friends with Matt's parents when he was born. Our son, Colin, was born in January 1974. He and Matt played together very often as toddlers. His parents kept Colin when his brother, Kirk, was born in 1976. A very happy time in our lives.

I may not have personally known Matt, but knowing how much Mrs. Nowka loves him and how I remember her telling my world history class how blessed and how happy she is with her little family. I one day hope to find my own soul mate and best friend like their relationship. My deepest and most sincere condolences. I pray that God continues to bless you and your family during this time of grief. Sending huge warm hugs your way.
