Park City mourns the loss of 9 year staple Matthew John (Rogers) O'Loughlin, also known as "The Tea guy." During his time in PC, Matthew was a snowboard instructor at PCMR. Matt was a gifted snowboarder and loved the opportunity to introduce countless kids to the sport. His enthusiasm and generosity endeared him to many families who traveled to PC year after year, requesting him as their personal coach and guide to the beauty of the mountain. Matt also served as director of PC summer camp where, in 2011, he inspired his campers with a goal to donate 500 nonperishable items to the Christian center. Through his enthusiasm and efforts, nearly 800 items were ultimately donated, helping nearly 90 families. Most recently, Matt enjoyed an extended international adventure in Ireland as well as a cross country tour of the US by camper van. Throughout his travels he gained new perspectives and forged new relationships while also fostering existing ones.

Matt's energy was electric and he left an impact on all fortunate enough to know him. Naturally athletic and uncommonly determined, Matt excelled at anything he put his mind to, whether it was a lawn game, clearing a wake, or back flipping off a PC booter. He made things look effortless but always helped everyone around him push themselves to accomplish more than they thought possible. Matt filled his 33 years with adventure, laughter, achievement, and love.

The only thing he loved more than adventure was his family.

Matthew is survived by his mother, Roberta, his brothers, Nathan and Jared, and many loving friends and family members.
