It's been many years since I've seen Matt but I will never forget his incredible smile. Everyone was always laughing and having fun in Matt's presence. His family and girlfriend are in my thoughts and prayers. I am so sorry for your loss.

Growing up the baby boy of three older sisters, my mom never gave me a brother. God gave me Brady and Matt. As quick as they were here, one was now gone. Two months ago, I was blessed with a beautiful daughter. I now understand Matt, you were chosen to protect Olivia in ways I have no control. When she smiles and laughs, I know you'll be there. I will miss you as God's gift on earth and we will play as eternal brothers in heaven.
Miss you brother!

Now that you're gone I want people to look up and remember the beautiful soul that you are. Say hi Pac and Kurt Cobain for me. And drop in from time to time. You will be missed, you are in a better place.

I grew up with Brady and Matt. I remember skateboarding over the Pawlik's house. Brady I'm sorry buddy. I'm down in IL now and my family just told me the terrible news. My heart and prayers go out to Matt's entire family. May the Lord comfort your grief in these hard times.

I could always count on Matt for a smile a sincere handshake & a cold beer. He was always interested in my realestate projects(which I know he shared with his father) and I dont think he forgot a face.
To be loved and missed by so many is the greatest honor of all.
So, to his family & Shanna as well all of his freinds I would like express my deepest sympathies.

My deepest sympathy go out to the family and friends of Matt's. I remember the summer when Jason and Brady skateboarded all summerlong. Brady and I had a "budding" romance going and Matt was always tagging along. Which when your the 14 year old and an 11 year old is with you it gets annoying. He always had a smile on his face though, so it was hard to get too mad at him. Jaime (who lives in Vegas) called today and was in complete shock. She sends her heartfelt sympathy. Know that Matt touched everyone's life in a positive way, even as an annoying tag-a-long. May God comfort you now and in the future.

Matt has been a great friend to all of us over the years. He always had a smile on his face. He had the uncanny ability to make others around him smile. There was no situation that Matt did not make us all feel better. He continually made me laugh and taught me to enjoy life. He will truly and always be a friend.

We will miss Matt's smile and waiting on us at Mr. B's on Monday nights as we watch football and order a thin crust pizza (no green peppers)!! No matter how tall our offspring grow or how far away they move, they are always our children. Although we cannot fully experience your agony, please be assured that you and your family are in our prayers. We are asking God to support and uphold you as you tread the pain-filled path of these next days. Sincerely,
Brien Lord

There are no words to express how Matt has made me feel over the last 11 years. He was so warm, kind, sincere, loving, and devoted to his friends and family. He always aimed to please others before himself and he always made people feel comfortable. Matt was a great man and our memories together will live in my heart forever. We miss you and we love you so much, Matsy-Kris.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

No matter the day of the week, no matter the weather for that day, no matter what was going on in your personal life, you always offered a smile to everyone you saw. If only more people would learn that as early as you did. I know it is a lesson I will repeat to myself often. You will be greatly missed, yet forever remembered.

I will always remember Matt's smile and the way he could debate... and debate and debate! The countless many times he tried to get me and others to "let him make his point."
His sense of humor was second to none. The love of his family second to nothing. I find myself laughing through my tears and I pray the stories keep on coming for his family, girlfriend, and friends. Matt would have wanted it that way. You're never forgotten and we're forever changed because of that contagious smile.

I worked with Matt at Little Joe's in Grand Blanc. Matt was one of the sweetest kids i know and his parents should be so proud of the great job they did raising him . The world is a colder place because his warm smile is gone. I will miss his sense of humor and sunny disposition.

Our Dearest Matt,
Wow hun are we going to miss you, Virgilio says it won't be the same at B's without you, how right he is. I was thinking back to when we worked together, and I remember telling you how you looked like Prince William to me, and you smiled and said thank you! I am so saddened by this, it was only Friday that we said hi. Well Matt have fun up there and keep a lookout for the rest of us, ok hun. We love you and will be at a loss without you. God bless your family and all your other friends, may peace be with us all!
Love always;
Desiree, Virgilio, and our girls.
