Dr. Matthew Shwartz

I worked for Dr Shwartz when I was in high school. I left his office when I left for Navy boot camp in June of 2002. I became curious and googled his name and am sad to hear he has passed. I´ll never forget his kindness when I worked in his office. Also his secretary Ginny also. Thank you all.

Dear Shwartz Family,
Im so sorry to hear about Matt, i met him at Zachs Bar Mitzvah and he was very kind to me. Zach im always here for you, call me anytime. Camp will be amazing.

To all in Matthews family,
I am a friend of Matthews in-laws and I knew his wife and children. I had only met Matthew a few times and found him to be a very quiet and solemn man. I remember one time meeting with him at his office with a foot problem. He was really quiet and I was nervous because I didn't know if it was going to hurt. I needed conversation to keep my nerves at bay so I asked how his kids were doing. His eyes lit up and he started talking. "Now,that was a father who thought the world of his kids." The best part was that Matthew was so gentle that I felt like I went for a pedicure and I've never had a problem with my foot since.
Matthews passing has been such a shock. My heart and thoughts go out to his family and to everyone whose life will be saddened by his loss.

Dear Mrs. Shwartz and Children, I am so saddened by the passing of your Husband and Father. I was a patient of Dr. Shwartz and was scheduled to be operated on in July, 2007. Dr. Shwartz operated on my foot 12 years ago and I remember I did not follow his instructions about driving while I had a pin in one of my toes. Well I drove and had to stop short because someone pulled out in front on me, when I did the pin in my toe bent. Of course I went to his office right away and he had to remove the pin and had tears in his eyes because he knew it was very painful. I will never forgot the look on his face. He was a very caring Dr. and Man. He loved his family very much. I am so sorry for your great loss.

My heart goes out to the Shwartz family and Ginny. Dr. Shwartz was a remarkable man. He made his patients feel comfortable and I looked forward to seeing him and talking about his daughter dancing for Lillian Champa. He will always be remembered. You are all in my thoughts & prayers.

I was a patient of Dr. Shwartz's for the last ten years. The first time I entered his office, I was a nervous 15 year old with a bad foot. He put me at ease right away when he greeted me with a smile and the smell of orange milano cookies. From that point on, I wasn't nervous knowing I was in his capable hands. I knew him to be a great doctor and considered him a good friend. We will all miss him dearly. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

for 11/15/07. He was a kind, compassionate, and skilled surgeon.

I am at home now after one of the saddest days of my life.
Matthew will be truly missed! I think back to the day of when my sister and brother-in-law brought him to Texas at six months old. He was such a beautiful baby and my parents and family enjoyed him so much. While his parents worked, he would be in our house where he had many mothers to nuture him. My parents adored him as their first grandchild. He was just darling and gave us such pleasure. As he grew older, I enjoyed taking him and sister to many places. We had so much fun and have such wonderful memories. Even then he loved the Red Sox and I took him to games. He gave us so much pleasure and we were so proud of him. Little did I know that I would grow up and get married and have two girls. He and his brothers are the sons I never had, not to say that his sister is not another daughter to me.
I regret that I didn't spend enough time with him and his family which was my fault, because of our everyday lives, but he and his family were always in my heart and I am happy that we spent the time together that we had.
I know he is resting in peace with his grandparents....who loved him so much!!!He is now free of all his pain and suffering. Hashem should console all of you at this time.
To Lisa, Jared, Rachel and Zack, I hope you will always let me be there for all of you. Again thanks for all the love, pleasure and support you gave to my dear nephew. He was the greatest!!!

Why? Since I have found out about Matthew, I am shock and in disbelief. In his very short life he was put on this earth to do good things, and for whatever reason God had a plan. He will be leaving the world a better place. He always had a smile and helped any he touched. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. His legacy will live on.
