My deepest sympathy, Eileen. You have really had it rough the past few years, haven't you? I remember your wedding like it was yesterday. Barbie & Ken!? Love you and miss you.

I will miss Matt Smith very much!
He was such a great friend in High School Class of 78! We laughed so much we cried: Driving around in his Van, going to the Youth Center...just talking. I will miss him very much. My thoughts and prayers go out to his Wife and family. God Bless, Lori Soto

I will always remember Matt as a fun-loving guy. My favorite memory will always be his cartwheels as a cheerleader during the Powder Puff Football game. What a great sport! My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

So sad to hear about our Class of 78 great loss. I remember Matt as a very fun loving guy. I was our 9th grade mascot and he was on the football team. Crazy, fun and always very nice. My prayers go out to his wife and family.

Eileen, I am so sorry for the loss of your husband. We don't see each other often, but I had just asked about Matt about two weeks ago. He was so brave. What a handsome guy! You are in my thoughts.

Ah, Matt, there are so many fond and funny memories of times with you. You were always a crack up, like times at Arrowhead with the tasty Brownies, and the Powder Puff game as cheerleader. You will be missed and will always hold a special place in our hearts.. My sympathies and best wishes to your family; they were lucky to have you.

I didn't know matt in high school but i knew of him. "One of the good guys" was a phrase i heard several times. "Well-liked" was another. I'm sad to hear about my fellow '78 alumni and will wish him godspeed. My sincere sympathy goes out to his wife and his family.
god bless you, matt.

Well all the girls had a crush on Matt in Junior high, and yes I was one of them! Always happy and fun spirited he was as I recall. I remember when he dressed up with the guys at a homecoming football game (or was it a powder puff game)as a cheerleader and did cartwheels....that was funny and fun, just like Matt.
My sympathy and blessings to his wife and family.

Matt was a great friend in high school to me and my twin brother Ken. We took him up to Lake Tahoe with us one summer and had one of the best summers ever with a bunch of old friends. We partied at the old South Course of Canyon Country Club throughout high school and had a lot of great memories and times. He will surely be missed. I remember his dad use to call everone "PRO", it was probably his way of not having to remember all the names of all of Matt's friends, because there were so many. Thomas K. Masters
