Every time I go by the Ohio river or work on an engine I think of Matt .I miss talking with him about fishing and boating.Im going to miss all the stories he had of his past racing years .He was really fun to be around.

Fun loving, crazy, dedicated, and most of the the time fun to just be around. Oh did I mention Hard Headed! Rest in Peace Matt Timmel.

I worked with Matt on the Newburgh Park Board where he always had great input and insight for the good of our town of Newburgh. My first memories of Matt were at the NEWBURGH Firehouse where he was such a great presence and in particular at the Christmas parties there. Loved his robust laughter!

I worked a Deaconess ER and we all liked and respected very much. He was easy to work with and helped many, many times. I will remember him with a smile and my heart goes out to his family. He was always a true gentleman.

Rest In Peace Matt. Thank you for being there for us over the years whenever you were needed.

We knew Matt from our years boating on the Ohio and Green rivers. Always a great time with our friends. Matt has come to our rescue more than once over years and we will never forget his kindnesses. Rest In Peace Matt. Karen and Mike Williams

Matt was my captain when I first went on the squad and ambulance at Fire Station #1. He and Donnie Hoffman were my mentors. I learned so much about firefighting and paramedicine from both of them. We also laughed a lot. God bless you Matthew... and thank you.
