MATTHEW STEPHEN
Age 29, on Sunday, October 6, 2013. Born April 21, 1984. Loving son of Stephen and Karen Ubinger; grandson of Lawrence and Gretchen Lewis and John and Shirley Ubinger; loved brother of Brian Ubinger; also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friend, Lindsay. Matt loved all things culinary and all things Panic. Friends will be received at the JOHN F. SLATER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, 15227, on Wednesday from 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. at the South Hills Coutry Club. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE COUNTRY CLUB. If desired, family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association, Washington County Chapter, c/o 4 Gateway Center, 444 Liberty Avenue, Suite 1300, Pittsburgh, PA 15222. Steve, I just found out late yesterday afternoon about the passing of your son. I am so sorry for your loss. Words cannot express the sorrow I feel for you and your family. I know that you and I lost touch after high school, and have only had brief encounters at various locations over the years, but the news of your loss still filled me with sadness. Dear Ubinger Family, I am absolutely heartbroken to hear the news. I have many warm memories of him as a student, and some incredibly funny ones from a trip to Italy and France in the summer with a group of kids from the school. My sisters came on the trip and both took an instant shine to Matt.
