I will always remember Matt's laugh and his huge smile. He was a very kind soul indeed. Rest easy buddy.

Matt was as good a friend as you could ever ask for. He was humble, kind, generous and so fun to be with. He loved to tell a story and would often end it with a self deprecating "just my luck...".

Wally was in my pledge class at UOP and we became fast friends. While we drifted apart for twenty years or so, we had reconnected in the past five years and it was back to the same laughs and shenanigans. He loved to go to the casino, watch a game or just kick it and tell stories. I will miss my brother deeply! My condolences to his family. RIP Big Fella!

Matt was just the best as a person, electrician, and Just an all around person.

so many condolences to your entire family, just too young to be gone. Prayers to all. Hoping a pick-up game of hoops has already happened in Heaven.

Hey Matt...Wally, I remember way back to when your mom took us in the hills of Glen Ellen or Kenwood to pick berries and then coming home to have chocolate covered frozen bananas. Those times and growing pains are always with me. Of course you excelled at basketball but not too many remember when you were the goal keeper for our town boys 9-12 soccer team. Once, when you were absent with the flu, I tried to step into your shoes versus Lex Murray, Pavlovich and Christenson (future Montgomery High nemesis) and they proceeded in peppering me for 9 goals! You likely would have yielded none or a few at most. Fond memories of many other Dragons sports trips, tourneys and excursions etc. With utmost condolences to your wife and family as they also remember your abundant life and times. Sully

Very depressing news.....From Kindergarten through Junior College Matt was such a big part of my life in Sonoma.....fond memories of many Giants and Warrior games together. I would never be able to estimate the number of baseball games we played together and innings I pitched to Matt as my catcher. You will be missed...tk

Wally, We were roommates freshman and senior years at UOP and played hoops together for four years. You were larger than life from the first day I met you and you were a great teammate. You always had the best looking girlfriends (jealous), and always had that huge smile. You helped me through some tough times freshman year and I will always be grateful. Water skiing, snow skiing, tubing down the river with a keg, road trip to Pebble Beach, arguing over who should clean the bathroom, meeting your wonderful parents, taking adventurous risks I would not otherwise have taken, your infinite well of confidence, and on and on. We all have lost a wonderful spark. Will miss you to no end, Wally! Rest in peace.
