Matthew Wieczkowski Obituary

TRENTON -- Matthew S. Wieczkowski, 72, died Feb. 22 at the Compassionate Care Hospice.

Born in Trenton, Mr. Wieczkowski was a lifelong Trenton city resident.

He was a U.S. Army veteran during the Korean War, serving with the Heavy Motor Company of the 114th Infantry. He retired in 1995 after 20 years service with the former General Motors, Inland Fisher Body Plant of Ewing. He was previously employed with Atlantic Products.

He was a member of the Catholic War Veteran's, Holy Cross post #417 and the Trenton BPOE Elks Lodge #105.

Son of the late Stephen and Josephine Zygnerski Wieczkowski, and brother of the late Ziggy and Edward Wieczkowski and Stella Skrzydlinski, he is survived by his wife, Lorraine Britton Wieczkowski of Trenton; three daughters and two sons-in-laws: Pat and Walter Lojeski of Langhorne, PA, Sandy Calisti of Trenton, and Lisa and Gene Langton of Bordentown Township; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Matthew J. Wieczkowski of Princeton Boro, and Michael and Anne Wieczkowski of Hamilton Township; six grandchildren: Robin Calisti, Lynne Lojeski, Nicole Langton, Corey Langton, and twins Chloe and Sydney Wieczkowski; three sisters: Jenny Iwan of Harrisburg, PA, Charlotte Recine of Voorhees, and Regina Mastalesz of Hamilton Township; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held Wednesday from the Winowicz Funeral Home, Adeline & Beatty Streets. Funeral Liturgy was celebrated Wednesday in St. Stanislaus Church. Burial was in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Hamilton Township.

Memorial contributions are to be made to the St. Stanislaus Church, 60 Randall Ave., Trenton, NJ 08611
