I was extremely saddened to hear about the passing of Matthew. Matty Z was a very dear friend for many many years. He was a friend in the truest sense of the word. While playing countless sports with Matty he was always ready to celebrate a victory or provide comfort in defeat. Yet despite the outcome he was always there to have fun with his teammates and friends. He was full of life and will always be remembered for his kind heart, compassion, and infectious smile. The Zoric family is in my thoughts and prayers.

I don't know quite what to say, as I, like many, am in a great deal of shock. It's times like these where one feels a great deal of regret for not staying in closer touch with those who have proved to be such a good friend. Matt was an amazing guy, who had a tremendous sense of humour. He was so fun to be around both on the field (court), and in school. I have spent the past couple of days reminiscing on the many experiences I shared with Matty Z. My most sincere condolences and prayers go out to all of Matt's family and friends. You will be sadly missed buddy!

I just seen Ivan and Mr. Zoric, and said to say hi just a week ago to Matt, and they said you were still at plant #3 and doing well. Matt you were a great friend through both grade schools and all around good guy in high school and after. Matt will definately be remebered and missed by all that knew him (he brought smiles to all and had compassion to others) God bless you old friend.

Although it's been many years, it seems like yesterday that we sat in the stands and watched our boys play baseball. I can still see that shy grin and twinkle in his eyes as he made that "amazing play". But the great thing about Matt was that he did the exact same thing even if he "messed up". That was one of Matt's gifts!

Mattie;
I will never forget you! You were the best roommate a girl could ever have... you were more than that to me, we became friends!!! I will never forget your smile and the laughs we shared. I'll never forget the "karokee". I'll miss your bbq, card games, and the loud tv sports games, the house will never be the same without you. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Zoric family and Mattie's close friends.

Matti Z,

It's been a long time since you and I shared many victories as battery mates for Assumption Baseball. Thanks for all the memories.
My deepest condolences go out to those who knew you the most, but for a few good summers I was one of those guys who got to know you and like Mike D said you were a quiet leader, but definately drew the respect of all those around you.

Thanks for bringing me some great fun those years.
