FOR MATTIAS: I know the truth, Mattias. And I have to believe that you are so happy and hurt-free up there in Heaven. You truly touched my life and I look forward to seeing you again someday. Peace be with you.

FOR HIS FAMILY: I only met Mattias twice and we corresponded on the internet, but Mattias shared with me, so much light and life that now that he's no longer with us, it feels as if I knew him so much better than I did. The loss of his one of a kind soul on Earth will indeed be mourned and remembered, but also, his legacy, a celebration of Mattias and his love of life is immortal. You are ALL in my prayers and thoughts.

Matthias. We never really talked, but I remember you from German class. Your movies were always so amazing and I was always jealous. I regret never working with you. Your inspiration and strength will greatly be missed. You and your family and in my thoughts.

Matthias, You led a road that most will try to follow on. You also left inspiration for those in your wake. May the blessings of god be on you and your family continually.

Matthias, you are such a talented person and this world will really miss the great things you were bound to bring it. I remember your movies in German, they were so fantastic, as was your work in drama class. I am sad to hear you have left us and will pray for you and your family.

Matthias I am going to miss you with all my heart. I will always love you FOREVER. You are my sunshine and i think about you every single day. I am so sad that my friend and your son has passed.
Last valentines day he picked me up from school and took me home and in the car he asked what my plans were for the evening. I said they were nothing because i didn't have a date, and then he asked if he could take me out to dinner.
I just wanted to share that he was reliable and very caring so that I wouldn't be sad for not having a date. My parents loved Matthias as well. I am truly sorry for your loss.

Matthias was such a great guy, the world will be missing out on an amazing person. He was there for me when I need him and I hope that I was there for him. He told me that he wanted to be able to change lives but he didn't know that he already had by just being a part of so many peoples lives, especially mine. I will miss him forever and I will never forget.

You've done so much for me and i can only wish that i did the same for you. I love you Matthias you were like a brother to me. I'll miss you.

I regret never being able to take the time to get to know him better, seeing as we rarely had classes together, But he did go to prom with us one year (our whole group of friends) And I'll never forget what a good dancer he is =)

There is nothing I can say that can make this situation any easier to bare, but I can assure you as so many people have been that Matthias is a wonderful person. He has always been an absolute sweetheart to me and cared for me since I met him in seventh grade. He was always there to talk whenever we had time to and he always made me laugh. We have some really good memories together and I know he shall not be forgotten. You meet few extra-ordinary people in your lifetimes and he has definitely been one of them for me. You all are very fortunate for having been his family. My prayers are with you and my sincerest love and affection goes out to you and Matthias forever and always.

I was so saddened to hear of Matthias' passing. I came as close to knowing Matthias without personally knowing him. He was somewhat of an 'Angel' to my daughter Dee and my daughter spoke of Matthias often. He would give her rides, help her study, include her in some of his projects and, most of all, was there for her. Thank you so much Matthias, even though you've brought tears to my eyes. I will keep Matthias and all of you Sommer family in my prayers.

I shall never forget the way Matthias sang in our choir - mouth wide open with great gusto, great intelligence, and most importantly, his whole heart! He is truly one of my unforgettable choir members and I shall always feel fortunate that he was with us for awhile.
