Mattie Josephine Trent Heath Glade Spring, Va. Mrs. Mattie Josephine Trent Heath, age 82, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009, at Bristol Nursing Home. She was a lifelong resident of Washington County, Va., and was a member of Chilhowie Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Heath Sr.; by her parents, Sam McKinley Trent and Mary Elizabeth Callahan Trent; two sisters, Rebecca Riffle and Betty Callahan; and two brothers, Bobby Trent and Bill Trent. Mrs. Heath is survived by her sons, Ben Allison Heath Jr. and his wife Lois of Bristol Virginia, and Terry Wayne Heath, also of Bristol; one daughter, Rosa Lee Weaver and her husband Bob of Roanoke, Va.; one brother, Jimmy Rogers Trent of Meadowview, Va.; two sisters, Laura Virginia Trent of Meadowview and Jean Sturgill of Damascus, Va.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to offer special thanks to the staff of Bristol Nursing Home. The family of Mrs. Heath will receive friends on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009, from 10 11 a.m. at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon. The service and burial will follow at 11 a.m. in Forest Hills Memory Gardens, with Rev. Chuck Herrell officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
