Maudelia (Long) Trevathan, 89, of Lufkin, daughter of the late Maudess (Holcomb) and John M. Long, was born January 28, 1922 in Alto, Texas, and passed away February 3, 2011 in a local hospital. Mrs. Trevathan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a good friend and neighbor. She was a member of Forest Park Methodist Church and St. Paul United Methodist Church in Lufkin. She belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star. She and her husband enjoyed being members of Marina Village at Trinity on Lake Livingston, and participating in the Good Sam Club and loved to travel with her husband and family. Mrs. Trevathan attended Stephen F. Austin University and Sam Houston University. Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Clifford of Lufkin; sons and daughters -in-law, Randy and Janice Trevathan of Round Rock, Texas, Terry and Roseann Trevathan of Pollok and Ronnie and Susie Trevathan of Houston; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Dale Roland of Lufkin; 7 grandchildren, Cliff, Trae and Terriann Trevathan, Amy Mitcham, Jennifer Hinger, Scott Roland, Chris Molandes; 9 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters-in-law, Heloise Castle of Smithville, Evangeline Bowden of Rusk and Marion Hudson of Alto; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, John and James Long. Pallbearers will be Cliff Trevathan, Trae Trevathan, Scott Roland, Chris Molandes, Chris Hinger and Chris Mitcham. Memorials may be given to St. Paul\'d5s United Methodist Church, 1505 S. John Redditt Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904. Services for Mrs. Trevathan will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 6, 2011 at Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Meredith Wende and Rev. Pinckney Love officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Condolences may be offered at www.gipsonfuneralhome.com Services have been placed in the trust of Gipson Funeral Home
