Can you believe I am a junior in highschool now, that's how much time has passed. None the less my memories of you are still vivid and fond, gone but never forgotten.

Maurice Bishop would remember me as Gwen Prong. I rermember Maurice as a person that loved his country enough to spend hours trying to make it better. We need more people with that spirit today.Love and blessings to his family. Gwen Prong Strunk

I remember Mr. Bishop when he ha his shop in Saint Joseph across from the old High School. We would go in have lunch and talk to him. I would get my hair from him when I needed it. He was a great man and he will be missed by all that new him. I pray for the family. He is now at peace and with GOD.

All the men in my family were barbered by Mr. Bishop, and they remember him with great fondness. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time.

I remember Mr. Bishop from my childhood. When he had a barber shop near the corner of Hoyt and Niles Ave. in St. Joe. I was one of the neighborhood kids that would stop by for the tootsie rolls he would hand out. He was known locally
as the "Candy Man". Rest in Peace Maurice. With love from one of your "tootsie roll" kids.

Our sincere sympathy to your family. Mr. Bishop was my husband's barber many, many years ago. They ran into each other a few years ago and Mr. Bishop recognized John right away even after all these years. John has always had the utmost respect for him and always said what a good man he was. Our sincere hope that you find comfort in knowing he is at rest in God's arms now.

You will be tremendously missed Mr.B!!! Love, Elaine and Olivia! May God uplift and encourage the family during this very difficult time, and in the months to come. I spent the last eleven years sitting next to this man until last October! So much more than just my old boss. My friend, and like an adopted dad he had become, both he and his wife mean a great deal to us! You will be genuinely missed Mr.B! We still have your pics along with family hanging right on the walls! You will always have a special place in my heart. I was so sad to see you leave this world. Words could never express the sorrow I feel. I will never forget you!

With Love,

Elaine and Baby Olivia

I miss you Mr.Bishop, I remember leaving condolences for people you and Mrs.B knew a gazillion times, I never dreamed I'd be sitting here writing one for you. 11 Years I spent with you and Mrs.B at the office. I hated that you had to go through this, and am wishing this was not so. You will be missed! 11 years of good times, sad times, etc. You mean a lot to me Mr.B, we still have pics of all of us hanging up at home. My friend and like an adopted dad. How I hate to see you go. Forever in my heart. May God watch over and uplift your children and Mrs.B right now during this very difficult time. We miss you and will always love you Mr.B!!!!!
