Just thinking about Maurice today and googled him. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. I worked with Maurice in the Edmonton area control center in the 80s, and remember him as a very nice man, a joy to be around.

I had the pleasure of working with Maurice for the opening of the Black Gold Centre around 1980 and remember him as a man who was passionate about the community. I recall him going door to door to collect donations to build the recreation centre, and in so doing did much to enrich the lives of so many in Leduc.
My heartfelt sympathy to Helen and the family.

Dear Helen and Family,
Helen, please accept our heartfelt condolences with the passing of Maurice.
We have so many fond memories of working with Maurice for many years, and being neighbours of yours for many years as well.
Maurice was so active on so many fronts, he helped so many people, and he was always so very down to earth, and always so very easy to sit down and talk to.
He was a true Gentleman. We will miss him.

Sad to think he is gone. Maurice was a prince of a man.
