I realize that I am many years late with this comment, but Charlie Pimm's name came up in a discussion this weekend. In the early 1970's, I ran the Waffle House on Dale Mabry in Tampa. Charlie was a regular every morning Monday- Friday. He ate the same thing daily, two eggs over medium, toast, and bacon. He was nicknamed "OMB" (over medium and bacon). He gave the staff Christmas cards that were signed, OMB. He was a great guy, always smiling. His name came up Saturday when I was discussing favorite customers of mine after 55 years in the restaurant business. Sorry for your family's loss.

Sharon, I'm sorry to hear about your dad. I always thought he was a great guy especially since he was a fellow pilot. I hope you and your family are doing well and my thoughts and prayers are with you. God bless you.

To Kathy, Janet and Sharon.

I am so sorry to hear about your father. He was a great friend to my Dad and an integral part of our family. An important part of my story was working during the summers for Pimm Engineering during high school and college...and going to Florida football games with Dad and "Mr. Pimm", sometimes getting to fly in his plane. Years later, In 1990, I took Mom, Dad, your Dad and Elizabeth to the Florida-Alabama game in Tuscaloosa...it was my turn to take them after all the great memories they gave me.

I also introduced my children to Mr. Pimm...they had heard so much about him...we met him several times over the years at UF games in Alabama. He met several of my friends as well...they all knew of Mr. Pimm and the memorable times I had due to him.

I kept in touch with your Dad a couple times a year. I always enjoyed connecting with him. He was always gracious but I expect there was some selfishness on my part for all the fond memories and recollections I got when speaking with him.

Our sympathy and best regards...Jim & Elise Berryhill

What a pleasure it was knowing Maurice. He was such a dignified and gentle man. We will miss him very much, but always treasure the honor of his friendship.

From the son of another "Jug" pilot, please accept my condolences on Mr. Pimm's passing. My father, Eldon Scott, of Linden, AL, was a P-47 pilot who was stationed in Europe during WWII.

After VE day, he was headed to the pacific when the bomb was dropped. I grew up hearing his stories of his 90 missions which served as my bedtime stories. :)

If Mr. Pimm ever attended any of the "Jug" reunions over the years, then I'm sure they met.

Once again, please accept my prayers and condolences.

We would like to express our sympathy to the family of Maurice Pimm. We appreciate his dedication to the citizens of the United States and his service to our country during WWII. During our acquaintenance with Mr. Pimm we found him a very honorable man and we appreciate everything he did for his step son, David before and after the death of David's mother. Thank you Pimm family for sharing Maurice for a short time with us. Ed and Billie Sue Roper
