Max Copeland was a pastor to Kay and I during our University of Texas attendance (1968-9).When our first born was found to have a tumor in his throat, Bro. Max traveled to Dallas to the Children's Hospital to pray and encourage us. Glenda was always a support to the staff at FB Marble Falls. Some of our most precious days were spent in Marble Falls.
After finding out today from Ron Hill that Max is gone, we immediately wanted to say that we are thankful for Max and Glenda and their extended family.

An amazing Godly man who touched the lives of everyone he came into contact with. He baptized my mom, sister and I when I first moved to Marble Falls. So thankful to have known him. Godspeed Brother Max!

Have fond memories of Bro. Max. He was very comforting to me through some difficult times and married both my children, and conducted funeral services for 5 family members. He was my pastor for at least 30 years. He was a real blessing to me.

Many great men and women have enjoyed incredible fame and popularity on a world stage.
But I submit today that few, if any, have ever had the true impact on all the people who knew him
as did Brother Max.
In all the years I have known him (46) he has always presented himself as a simple country preacher --- and in fact he was. But more than that, he was giant man of God who , more than any Christian I have ever known, let his light shine before men--- and we could all see Jesus in him.
His physical presence will certainly be missed, but the legacy he leaves behind assures that his influence will carry on forever. He was that guy who makes us all want to be better people.
Witness the men who spoke at his funeral and the enormous crowd that attended.
I couldn't possibly write more than about a thousand pages about how terrific I think Max Copeland was --- but I will refrain.
It was said at his service that Brother Max was the greatest man to ever live in Marble Falls.
That said --- and under the assumption that behind every great man there is a great woman ---
It follows that Glenna Copeland is the finest Christian lady we have ever had in our town.
Thank you, thank you, thank you --- to the entire Copeland Family.
Marble Falls is a better place because of you!

I knew Max Copeland when he was pastor at Roberts Baptist Church in rural Haskell County, Texas back in the early 1950s. The Chapman & Cobb families were greatly impacted by this outstanding man of God. He will be greatly missed.

Some people say they are a Christian and others, like Brother Max live their life in such a way that you know because of their love, their works, and example that they truly love the Lord and follow Him with all they have! Heaven is rejoicing! My prayers for the family who have to wait for a while before they see him again.

I doubt that I or anyone else will ever know as kind or caring a human being as Brother Max. I grew up just down the street from his home and we would always know it was him driving by from the friendly wave and big smile. He'd often stop to admire my mother's flowers and ask about the family. Even after being gone from Marble Falls for many years, it was always a pleasure to run into him on a visit or to hear his words of encouragement and condolence after the passing of my parents. He was a humanitarian in every since of the word. His presence in Marble Falls will be greatly missed

Our family has known Bro. Max and Glenna for 30 years, ever since moving to Marble Falls. The boys were very active in the youth programs and Bro. Max married both boys years ago. He was always there for us when we needed him. He will be sorely missed by everyone in this community, but we all know we will meet him again in heaven when it is our turn.

I have much admiration and love for this incredible human being that truly lived his faith. He preached my grandmother Christine Johnson's funeral, and his compassion and comfort was irreplaceable. Brother Max had angels around him and a light of love that shown vividly on his beautiful face...thank you for all the years you put into your ministry, and for all the lives you touched. Loving you forever...

Max was formed from the perfect mold for being a man of God. Hard to find that perfect mold these days. There are a few that are close. I am far from it. I will miss the red car, the red socks, the red suspenders. And the red chairs will be empty. Prayers to Glenna, Dan, Gretchen and the whole Copeland Family. We love you!

Brother Max we love you. It just seems so clear in my mind the day we moved to Marble Falls when I was a sophomore in high school. You drove all the way out to Windemere on Lake Travis to welcome us to this beautiful town. You were such a caring, compassionate man. God truly blessed us here on Earth when he made you. You and your family are a true blessing. You baptized me in high school and then I had the privilege of you marrying Dennis and I 29 years ago at FBC. See you again one day in Glory!

Brother Max was a shining light to me. I had the honour of him mentoring me while I lived in Matble Falls. He helped me through some of the best and worst times in my life. There aren't manypeople left in this world that can make you feel unconditionally loved, like Brither Max did. May he rest peacefully in the arms of angels.

So many years, so many memories! Our family has known Brother Max since 1962, and what a wonderful Christian fellowship we've enjoyed over the years. We were so blessed to have been a part of his extended "family" of believers. Glenna, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Buck & Janet Seals (and I know Mary & EB Seals are rejoicing right now to spend time with their dear friend again in Heaven).

This precious man baptized me at the age of nine and was my pastor for years. As a child, I adored him. Today, nothing has changed. He is still the man I will always consider, "my pastor." He was there for my family in good times and bad. He cheered me on as an athlete, and let me cry on his shoulder when my grandmother passed. No single man has ever had such a positive effect on a community as Brother Max. He prayed over all the youth each summer before we left on our choir trips, and was there to welcome us back no matter the time. Precious does not being to describe him. Mrs. Copeland, I will never forget being in Mrs. Thompson's second grade class but you allowing me to come in your room to visit sometimes. You and your family are in my prayers.

I have a lifetime of memories of Bro. Max & his family. He was one of the most kindhearted, compassionate, loving men I've ever known. I admired his Faith & capability to befriend anyone he met. I know he's happy now that he's with the Lord he loved & praised so much. May God provide comfort & understanding to all of his family & friends. I love you Bro. Max, and I will see you again.
