Max DeLong Obituary

Max H. DeLong, of Farmington, Utah, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at his home. Born in Midland Oct. 15, 1936, Max was the son of Herbert and Elsie (Richardson) DeLong. He is survived by his wife, Kathy (Deitrich) DeLong.

Max attended schools in Midland and served with the U.S. Marine Corp. from 1954-1957. He was employed with Goodyear Tire and Camp's VW/Audi dealership in Midland prior to moving to Arizona to work for Volkswagen of America until his retirement.

Surviving family are his daughters, Cheryl Hinson and children Ben, Phillip, Matthew, Quinn and Abby; Rickie DeLong and children Arnie and Dawn; Tammy (Tom) Stewart and children Luke and Dena; son, Jeremy and his children, Mia and Vala. Also surviving are five great-grandsons, Connor, Eliot, Liam, Luke and Landon. Max is also survived by his brother, James (Carole) DeLong and family. He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Kent Hinson; and an infant sister.

Private services were held with burial in Camp Williams Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bluffdale, Utah.
