I'm a bit late, but..... I still vividly remember Max & his house. We played ball in the front lawn which was mammoth. It's 4/10/19 & I just heard about Max's passing. I left Swampscott never to return immediately after high school & spent 2 yrs in Asia (mostly S.E. Asia). Then out of state college & grad school & then 30 yrs with corp. America being transferred all over the country & spending 1/2 of my time in Europe or Asia. Very sorry to read about this.

Max was an oncology resident at Yale-New Haven Hospital over 47 years ago, when he spotted the tumor that led to my thyroidectomy from cancer. I'm grateful for the blessings of years that he added to my life. My deepest, although belated, condolences, to his family. May his memory be a blessing to all he loved and served.

Dr. Max Dine saved my life 35 years ago in 1981 he diagnosed me with non -hodgkins lymphoblastic lymphoma type t cell it was explained to me that at the time it was extremely rare like 1 in 400 million he fought for me to be seen at Kenneth Norris jr hospital in Los Angeles Ca. He won and i lived at twenty years old and only given 30 days to live not even married a year. i was told after the treatment of the chemo and radiation i would be sterile for the rest of my life. when we had our first daughter Amanda may Jeremiah we took her straight from the hospital to Dr.Dines office I slipped in through the back door to surprise him and i placed our newborn baby daughter in his arms and he said. whats this i said to him you helped to create this beautiful miracle if you could have seen the look on his face. Amanda was the first of three children and now we have five grand children god bless you Sharon for i know in my heart that max abides in heaven and that he will be there for especially for you and all of us when our time has come

Max was the single most import advocate for the mental ill in Phoenix. He worked directly with those in need, and encouraged them in their projects and advocacy work. He was a great role model and leader. He also worked on Federal Policies.
He had a gentle personality. He was soft spoken. He had his many challenges but never gave up on his work to improve the lives of others. Sharon, I am sorry for your loss and all of us where so glad to have come to know you, and your many kindnesses and contributions.

My best wishes to Sharon as she experiences the loss of Max, her husband. How well I remember spending time with both of you and the ride and visit to Sedona. What joy it brought me. I lost touch with you but want your address, Sharon, so I can send you a card and more personal note.
