I'm very sorry to hear of the passing of Max, a loyal friend for many years -- dating to his nights at the Royal Arms and Roundtable. He had a wonderful collection of great friends. Fellow ex-Courier-Express staffers joined me in happily visiting Max at Yankee exhibitions in Florida each March. I will miss him greatly.

I'm deeply saddened at hearing of Max's death. He and I had been friends for some 50 years, my being an almost nightly visitor to the Royal Arms after work at The Courier-Express, to the Sunday mornings in the summer when our Royal Arms softball team played other "bar" teams, to our nights at The Roundtable and more recently to our March visits to Yankee pre-season games in Tampa. Max was one of a kind, a lot of fun always, just one very special man. My sincere condolences to his wife and family.
