I hope it isn't too late to make this entry. I wish to extend my sympathy to the family. I was an "extended" member of the family in the early 1970's. I was hired as a nanny for Dean. Coming from a totally different background I was made to feel like a member of the family. Max and Rose were and are indeed wonderful people and enriched my life in so many ways. Blessed be his memory.........

Zamansky/Rosen Family,

Papa Max left a lasting memory in my mind growing up as Dean's friend. Both he and Rose always made it to our baseball games, always made me feel welcome in their home and always treated me with such courtesy and warmth. I just got the news an hour ago so I wanted to say to your families that I meant no disrespect for not attending the funeral or shiva.

I'm truly saddened that a great man has passed and I feel blessed to have been touched by his life.

My thoughts are with your entire family.

What a wonderful man Max was! It was truly an honor getting to know him and also Ron. It was always rewarding seeing his smiling face, especially when I would get him his warm cocoa. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Zamansky family. Max will surely be missed, especially his amazing smile and kind heart!

Ron,

I am so sorry for your loss. I heard so many good stories about your Dad. I am thinking of you.

To the Zamansky Family:

We wanted to send our heartfelt condolences. It was always a pleasure having the Zamansky family as our neighbors in Highland Park, whether we were playing touch football or just visiting in the backyards.

I always enjoyed seeing Max and Rose. Max and I would frequently visit at Gopher football games, and of course for years I watched some very adept ballboys at Williams Arena.

Our thoughts are with you.

Best regards,

Wayne and Sandy Freeman and Family
