ENGLISH, Maxine Laverne May 15, 1931 - January 7, 2016 Born in 1931 in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Canada Maxine was the daughter of Andrew C. Thiessen and Anna Neufeldt. She died January 7, 2016 peacefully at home in Springfield Place, Petaluma in the loving arms of her husband, James (Al) English. She is survived by her four children, Joseph Perrault, Edward Perrault, Ann Perrault and Elizabeth Crutchley; beloved granddaughters, Juliana Perrault, Jessica Crutchley; grandson, Sean Crutchley; and great-great grandson, Evan Taylor Crutchley; and her only surviving brother, Jim Thiessen. She will be remembered by her extended family, Liz Kim, Lisa Mahoney Mendivil, Victoria Perrault, Kerry Crutchley, Sian Thiessen, Rob Thiessen, Brad Thiessen, Tonja Schieffer, LeeAnn Iacona, Mary and Tom Cooney, James and Connie English, Alison and Laurence Diamond. A longtime resident of Petaluma, Maxine was well known in the community for her driving spirit and wit. She was known amongst her family and friends as Motorcycle Mama, skydiver, avid fisherwoman, business woman, member of SAG (Screen Actors Guild), singer in church choir and with local productions including The Harmoneers & Harmonettes, gourmet cook, gardener, reader, political aficionado, and as a woman of many talents. First and foremost, she was a woman of God whose faith was evident and lived her life in the knowledge of God's mercy and as a testimony to His Amazing Grace. A memorial service will be held at St John's Anglican Church at 532 S McDowell Boulevard, Petaluma on Monday January 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with a reception following.
