Maxine Grubb Obituary
Apr. 10, 1928 - May 1, 2012
Maxine, a 15 year resident of Sarasota, Florida , 21 year resident of Bluebell, Pennsylvania, and 48 year resident of Richmond, Michigan, died Monday May 1st at Doctors Hospital of Sarasota.
Maxine received a BS in Education from Michigan State in 1951. She worked as a school teacher for 33 years.
Maxine married Willard Lee Grubb in 1953.Together, they raised four children; Carl Fredrick born June 12th, 1954, Margee Lee, born Aug 22nd, 1955, Gary Gerald, born Dec 22nd, 1959 and Barry Lynn, born June 25th, 1961.
Maxine was active in Lions Club, Good Old Days Committee, building the Richmond Community Swimming Pool and many other activities. Later in life, Maxine developed a strong passion for politics. As an avid Republican, she volunteered with the Republican Party. Her passion for politics was recognized by her friends- especially her Democratic friends.
Her family will have a private memorial service at their former Rolling Acres vacation property in Gaylord, Michigan on June 30th, 2012. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to your local chapter of the Republican Party.
As Maxine requested, the National Cremation and Burial Society in Sarasota has been entrusted with arrangements.
