Maxine (Mindi) Belsky

Maxine (Mindi) Belsky, 88, of Palm Beach, Florida, passed away on September 7, 2023. Mindi was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Samuel and Ida Feingersch. She attended Mt. Holyoke College and graduated from Barnard College, followed by a Masters in Education. Mindi worked as a teacher in New York City in the 1960s and 1970s while raising her children. In 1976, she married Robert Belsky and they moved to Holyoke, Massachusetts, where they built a life together. They relocated to Palm Beach in the 1980s. Mindi and Robert enjoyed traveling the world and developed a deep love for France, returning annually for many years during their 35 years of marriage. After her husband's passing Mindi continued to pursue her passions for travel and the arts. She enjoyed visiting various museums and cultural events, locally and abroad. Her natural beauty was complemented by her discerning taste in fashion. She enjoyed creating intricate needlepoint works and knitting beautiful sweaters. Mindi was an avid reader, frequenting the King Library in Palm Beach and devouring novels and mysteries. Mindi enjoyed playing bridge, and spending time with her friends and especially her family. Mindi was a strong advocate for women's rights and progressive causes. Mindi is survived by her loving children, Melissa Cohen (John Yeck) and Matthew Cohen (Carrie), her cherished grandchildren, Miranda Berry and Serena Berry, as well as her beloved nieces, Alix Pearlstein and Alison Pearl, and nephew, Andrew Pearlstein. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Belsky, her sister Adali Pearlstein.
