Maxwell Grout Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 4, 2010.
Grout, Maxwell Charles, age 19, of Lincoln, Nebraska, beloved son of Taresa Furnas and Mark Grout, left this earth on May 4, 2010 near Des Moines, Iowa on his first solo ride of a racing motorcycle, just after obtaining his permit. Max always wanted a motorcycle but had to wait until he turned 19. In the meanwhile, he loved his cars, especially his red Honda Integra, which he bought after his red Mitsubishi Eclipse. He and his friends rebuilt another Honda for fun in his friend Reilly's garage. Max was employed in Tire and Lube at Walmart South, where he was honored twice in the last year as Employee of the Month. He was proud to have just started the Automotive Technology program at Southeast Community College. He loved cars, his family and many, many friends, but most of all, his dogs Aeryss and Zeus. Max is lovingly survived by his parents Taresa and Mark as well as their partners, Dan Reigert and Pepper Grout, and his siblings who always looked up to him: Russell, Charles, and Mary Rose Kaup, as well as his grandparents, Laura Furnas and Roland Hamann, Charles Grout and Gary Furnas, Sr. As the oldest grandchild on both sides of the family, Maxwell was adored by his many cousins: Laura Marie Boswell, Morgan, Cheyenne, Darrell and Skylar Maxey, as well as Amanda and Andrew Grout, Justin and Zachary Furnas. Maxwell's large family all treated him as their own. His many aunts and uncles already miss him dearly: Kristine and Jim Maxey, Gary Jr. and Carrie Furnas, Roger and Kathy Grout, and Roxanne and Bob Quinlan, as well as his special Great Aunts and Uncles: Millie and Gene Kros, Pauline and Ken Lundgren, and the many Grouts that gave him his sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his loving Grandmother, Joanne Grout, and grandfather, Victor Kaup. Memorials will be accepted on his behalf for Pit Bull rescue purposes. Please visit "RIP Maxwell Grout" on Facebook to share your memories and photos of Max, as well as keeping in touch with his family. Condolences may also be left at lincolnfh.com. Visitation with the family will be Friday, May 7, 2010 from 3-8 pm at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service to honor Maxwell's life will be held the next day at 11:30 am on Saturday, May 8, 2010 also at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home with a light luncheon following. Casual dress encouraged. His special friends will be Honorary Pallbearers: Reilly Placek and Danielle Stopp, Shay Norris, Bridgette McKay, Lindsey McIntyre and Cody Ronne, Justin Lilly, Lauren Hiller, Brett Kudlacz, Janice Hagaman, and Jon Tyburski., Jim Maxey and Dale Kaup.
