Maybell Marushak Obituary
Maybell M. Marushak, 88, of Laurys Station, passed away Dec. 23 in Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. She was married to the late Stephen Marushak. Born in Cherryville, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Mabel (Beil) Marsh. She was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Whitehall. Maybell was the president of the former Laurys Station Fire Co. Auxiliary and a member of the former St. Johns Union Church, Laurys Station, where she served as superintendent of its Sunday School. Suvivors: Son, Stephen Randall Marushak, with whom she resided; sister, Karline, wife of Otto Hontz, of Walnutport; nieces, nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Forrest, Clark, Ralph, Clayton; and sisters, Dorothy and Evelyn. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 29, Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 4331 Main St., Whitehall with the Rev. James W. Schlegel, officiating. Friends and family may call 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the church. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, to Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church or Minsi Trails Council(Boy Scouts of America) both c/o Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay, PA 18037.

Aunt Maybell was a wonderful sweet person. She always had a smile on her face. She will truly be missed.

I loved your Mother she was always correcting me on the way I pronounced her name.I will miss her in Bible Study and church . When she was in good health you could always find her in the kitchen helping out with the many church functions. She is at peace with her maker and will be truly missed by all of her friends at Shepherd of the Hills.

We were sorry to learn of your mother's death. We had not known she was in Fellowship Manor where Becky's sister resides too. Maybell was a friendly individual who was always ready to engage in conversation. Accept our condolences and may resurrection hope bring you strength during these sad days.
