Maynard R. Williamson, 85, of Roanoke, passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2012. He was preceded in death by his son, Rickie Don Williamson; father, Harry C. Williamson, mother, Lucy Jane Williamson; brothers, Harry Kenneth Williamson, James D. Williamson and Aubrey Williamson; sisters, Gracie Dooley, Virgie Dooley and Carlotta Mays. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Sweeney Williamson; son, Danny Rae Williamson; grandchildren, Eric (Tammie), Todd, Kim (Tony); great-grandchildren, Michael, Ben, Jacob, Nathan, Daniel, Jonathan, Brooke, Chelci and Kelci; sister, June M. Thomas; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held noon on Friday, May 11, 2012, at Oakey's North Chapel, with the Rev. Mark Washington officiating. The interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Oakey's North Chapel.
