Dear Cindy and Senator Lanane, I was so saddened to know of the death of your lovely daughter, Meaghan. It has been amazing to read about what an incredible young woman she was. Her passionate devotion to making the world a better place and helping the disenfranchised is not only something to be admired and appreciated, but that by which we can all be inspire. Please accept my heartfelt condolences for your loss and know that the world IS a better place for her having lived here.

I feel very blessed to have known Meaghan. She was intelligent, kind, extremely courteous and beautiful, inside and out. On behalf of the Vargo family and Emma McWithey Ford, I'd like to express our condolences and send prayers to Mr. and Mrs. Lanane and family.

Although I didn't know Meaghan, it was abundantly clear that she was a special daughter and person. The newspaper accounts of her activities and personal drive reveal that we all suffer from her loss. Tim, please know that I feel deeply the sense of loss of one's child. We all know it shouldn't happen this way. Our kids should outlive us!!
