During this time of mourning, I would like to express my sincere condolence at the sudden loss of your loved one. May you find comfort in persistent prayers, as “the peace of God that excels all thought will guard your heart and your mental powers.” [Phil. 4:7] I certainly hope that the help God can give at this time will make a difference in your recovery to continue without your loved one.

It has been far too long since we had seen each other, But that does not minimize the shock of hearing of this tragic loss. Your special smile and the positive drive you had to help our fellow mankind and world was infectious and inspired others to follow. As I sort though this confusing chain of events,I can only think that I was privileged to meet Melanie for people like her are rare and will be missed by those who knew her. My condolences are extended to her family and other friends who have not only lost a friend but a mentor who helped so many people. She had dreams and hopes that came to fruitation - a dream realized. Her karma is, I am sure, being spread to us from wherever her and baby Faith may be. And from that I take comfort for a heavy heart.

Unfortunately I did not know Melanie very well, but she was a kind and friendly neighbour and we were very surprised to hear of this. I always commented on her having the most beautiful dog!

I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of your precious sister - I still have the memory of both of your sweet faces looking up at me as you knelt beside my chair when I was at Devin's hospital bedside. I would love to see you again. Please contact David to reach me. Blessings always.

Melanie was one of those 'bright lights' who came to the world to brighten it up, and that she did! I met her through rebuilding at a dark time in both our lives when we were going through divorce. We recognized each other right away as being very slimilar in our spirits, purpose and life vision; it was uncanny. We connected as kindred bright lights. Although we never worked together, we were both doing 'lighten up' work in our unique ways. A vision is brewing in me to help Malanie live on through another Cheers-like project called the 'Rhythm Project' in her memoory! Stay tuned! It is too much of a challenge to try to use simple words to describe Melanie but we will certainly all miss her. She had many characteristics that endeared her to such a wide range of people and friends. No one could doubt that she was in the room! And I do hope that wherever she is residing, that they have a few places to acquire bling!

I had the honour and have the lasting fun-filled memories of working alongside Melanie as her dedication, love and giving flowed freely for all those she touched. Gonna miss doing more funny songs with you Melanie. You put up with some of my crazy idea's I had for the AGM each year. Even when things were bad you seemed to find the funny side of things. I will always remember you every time I watch the videos on YouTube

The world is less bright with Melanie gone. I will miss your beautiful smile, your sense of humour and your compassion. Volunteering was so much fun with you. We are praying for you and Faith. Melanie and Kira

Melanie was a very dear person and a great friend to me when I lived in Calgary. She had such a bubbly personality and an incredible heart. I am deeply saddened to hear of her death. How tragic that her dear sweet baby is gone too. She has left a lasting impression on my children and I that will remain forever.

I met Melanie when she was with The Cheers Project. She had such a wonderful way about her. We laughed, we sang karaoke, we played..those times were so much fun.
Bruce and I were so blessed to have had Melanie in our life.

Melanie, you were an amazing person to many people, especially those around you. They will always remember you as the person you were, and the person you continue to be.I hope you're in heaven right now with the angels, and even though your body is gone, your name is forever within your family and friends in your life.

Melanie was the most special kind of person - generous beyond expectations, full of life, compassionate and kind. I feel so lucky and blessed to have experienced her. I wish her family and friends peace and comfort in knowing she touched and changed lives in quiet but profound ways.

Melanie brought a definite sparkle to our social gatherings and it's a blessing to have shared her laughter. I was fortunate to meet Mel through great friends and have some time over the past 15 years to get to know a truly caring and passionate person. To Melanie's family and friends, I am so very blessed for the times that I had with Melanie. I met her at Western Canada High School where we drove our teacher's mad with our incessant giggling and talking. Melanie could bring a smile to the darkest day and was always there for anybody, especially the underdog. Melanie's quest for life, fun and laughter will be so very much missed. I am very sorry to hear about Melanie, my condolences goes out to her family and friends. I did not know Melanie very well, but in the time I got to know her she was an absolute delight, and will be missed by many. My prayers are with her and her daughter in HEAVEN.

I am glad to have known Melanie and consider myself among the fortunate ones to have been friends with Melanie and will miss her. For the short time I knew Melanie, I found her to be a very special person and one I felt so comfortable talking to and sharing stories, laughter and some tears too. .
