McMahan, Melissa Renee,

Age 45, of Mt Washington KY, passed away on Friday July 15, 2016. Melissa was born on February 25, 1971. She graduated from Eastern High School and obtained a B.S Degree in Environmental Health Science from Eastern Kentucky University. She was a Documentation Specialist at US WorldMeds, LLC in Louisville KY. Melissa was a kind-hearted person with the ability to light up a room with her presence. Melissa loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart. Melissa married Art McMahan, Jr. on November 11, 1995. Melissa and Art had a drive for achievement and built an immensely successful business in AM Contracting. Melissa and Art were together when they passed while participating in one of their passions, charity boating events.

Melissa was preceded in death by a grandmother, Sue Carter and grandfather, Robert Hargrove. Melissa is survived by her children Amber Willis (Joe) and Brandon Reynolds (Carolyn); grandchildren Mariana Reynolds, Logan and Brinley Hornbeck; her parents Tim and Claudia Hargrove, and Robert DeSimone Sr.; sisters Candi Carroll (Clark), Stephanie Hargrove (Jess) and Elizabeth Hargrove and brother Robert DeSimone (Lisa); grandmother Sue Hargrove and grandfather Joseph Carter; numerous nieces, nephews and great nephews as well as many other relatives.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday July 22, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Middletown, 11721 Main Street, Middletown, KY., with burial to follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 PM Thursday at Pearson's 149 Breckenridge Lane and 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Friday at church.
