ALLEN Melva Dean Cooley Allen, born 4/19/51, was a life long resident of New Orleans, La. She was called by her angels on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at her home in Houston, TX. She is the former business owner of "Feels like home". She leaves to mourn a son, Glenn Allen; 3 daughters, Cynthia Allen, Shelita Allen and LaTasha Allen; 2 nieces she considered her own, Kisha Thomas and Lynette Thomas; 13 grandchildren; 2 long time friends, Albert Heisser and Darrell Johnson; 2 sisters, 3 brothers and a host of nieces and nephews. Services will be held Saturday, 1/15/11 at noon, 1199 Crosstimbers, Houston, Tx 77022. Handled by Sunset Funeral Home, Houston, TX.

TO MY NIECES, NEPHEW AND NIECE IN-LAW AND GRANDCHILDREN AND GREAT GRANDCHILDREN AND TO MELVAS FAMILY MY PRAYERS ARE WTH YOU AT THIS TIME IN NEED MELVA WILL BE MISSED DEARLY I SIT DOWN AND THINK ABOUT ALL THE GOOD TIMES WE HAD AND ALL WE WENT THROUGH. SHE WAS NOT ONLY A SISTER-IN-LAW BUT A SISTER AND I WILL MISS HER SO MUCH.YOU HAVE MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY I WILL BE HERE IF YOU ALL NEED ME. LOVE TO ALL OF YOU DEE STAY STRONG
