Uncle Mel was a really fun guy. A couple of times ,many years ago, my family & I had a chance to visit him and Aunt Alma. They were wonderful and fun to spend time with. On one occasion, when serving us cocktails, he "forgot" to tell us the effect of altitude when drinking. We all had a good laugh...the next day! May God bless him. Love to the family, Dee & Dick Picolla

We were so impressed with the story of Mel's career. He was a fine scientist and a gracious and self effacing person.
