Mercedes Guadarrama

Orihuela, Mercedes gently passed into the arms of Our Heavenly Father, on February 29, 2012. She was born in Puerto Rico on June 14, 1919, Mercedes was born to and predeceased by parents, Andrea and Solomon Berrios. She had two sisters, Barbara and Luisa, and one brother Alfonso. Mercedes was the last known survivor of her parents union. She was predeceased by husbands, Raul Orihuela and Lauro (Johnny) Guadarrama, each marriage lasting 29 years. The marriage of Mercedes and Raul produced three beautiful children, Jonas, Roy and Luz Maria Orihuela. Mercedes was mainly a wife, mother and homemaker but some of her adventures included being employed as a waitress at Maria's restaurant on West Shore Boulevard and in a factory making baseballs on Habana Avenue. Mercedes is survived by her son, and daughter in law, Dr. Jonas and Alice Cord; grandson, Dr. Jason Cord and wife Kimberly Cord of California; son and daughter in law, Roy and Marie Orihuela; Grandsons, Roy Orihuela Jr. and wife Carey Orihuela; grandson, Jake Orihuela of Tampa; daughters, (Lucy) Luz Maria Orihuela and carla Croft of Gulfport , Florida; grandson, Dereck Orihuela, and wife Angel Orhiuela of Tampa; Great grandchildren, Remington, Zachary, Anthony, Mariah, Michael Anthony and Samantha. Mercedes loved the Lord and will surely rest in everlasting peace.
