I had the privilege of becoming acquainted with Merle through her precious daughter, Julie. She was such a special lady and so easy to love. She had a beautiful smile and a beautiful heart. Her love for her family was obvious from the beginning. I am so thankful to know that she is with the Lord today and we will see her again.

to all of Merle's family....I was deeply blessed to meet Merle! She went with me to Bryan Co. Jail and had a deep hope to return one more time, but, wasn't able. She was such a compassionate believer whose desire was that EVERYONE have the opportunity to meet Jesus in Salvation! I know the loss is so great, but, knowing where she is now, and where we will all be soon is such a comfort! Blessings as you make this journey. Blessings!

Dear Kenny, Julie, Terri, and Sarah,
Your mom was the dearest, closest, most loving friend God has ever blessed me with. Her love of God and His love for her glowed from her face and heart at all time. I am so thankful that God placed me at Houston's First Baptist Church and introduced me to your mom. I will carry the loving, caring, fun memories of her with me until I join her in heaven. She was so proud of all of you. She loved you unconditionally. She was the epitome of a real woman of Christalways working for Him, giving, and reaching out to all who were in need. I am so blessed by God for having had her in my life and I thank Him daily.
