What a kind lady in our church who always had a big smile om her face regardless of the situation or the weather. I hoped that when I got old, I could be the same. At 81, I can say that I am still living up to her "joy in her heart" and I hope I can to my final day! Bless you Alvina and I hope to meet you again some day.

Alvina was our friend, but we always called her Grandma. She has a kind heart and a warm smile, she's touched many people's hearts and made everyone feel like they were a part of her family.

I have known Alvina for close to 30 years. She did always have a smile and greeted you with a warm word. When I would usher during the summer, she always had a straw hat, black I believe, with cheerful artificial flowers. She will be greatly missed but I will some day see her face to face in God's glorious purifying light. What a wonderful day that will be.

I was blessed to have known Alvina. My heart is filled with grief yet I rejoice because she is home with her heavenly Father and reunited with all the loved ones who have gone before her. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Liz and Ken and all of the family. Carol Hagedorn, Rapid City, SD

My Grandma: Always the shining star to me and all our families with that cute smile and a kind word for everyone. She always new that a person can plan his own course, but the Lord determines their steps. She naught only taught us, but we also learned by her example. Love her and will miss her but will shine in all of us as she is with her Savior now.
