Merle List Obituary
Merle J. List, 80, of Port Charlotte, FL passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at her residence. She was born on August 11, 1924 in Salem, New Jersey.
Mrs. List had worked in many divergent positions relating to industry. Her last position was as Office Manager for Boulevard Beverage Company in Philadelphia, PA, a manufacturing facility of Food Fair Stores, Pantry Pride and J.M. Fields. Prior to that she worked for T.C. Wheaton and Wheaton Glass in Millville, NJ. She retired in 1972 to accompany her husband to Puerto Rico on the start up of a new plant for E.I. DuPont. Mrs. List moved to Port Charlotte in 1983. She was an avid golfer and a longtime member of Deep Creek Golf Club.
Survivors include two nephews, Keith Nelson of Melbourne, FL and Henry Nelson of Salem, NJ; step-son, John List; and step-grandchildren, Dawn and Kelly. She is predeceased by her husband, Leonardo.
Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2005 at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, 5200 Indian Springs Cemetery Road, Punta Gorda. Entombment will be at Charlotte Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family suggests memorial donations be made to Hospice of Southwest Florida, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL. Arrangements are by CHARLOTTE MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, Cremation Services and Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Punta Gorda.
