I was a fledgling 10th grader when I met Mack as a cadet at Columbia Military Academy in 1951. I played football and other sports but I was not a varsity player while Mack was there. I remember how much I liked him and enjoyed following his athletic career some years after he graduated and went on to bigger and better things. I am not sure that Mack would remember me that well but I do want to say I am saddened by your loss and let you know that Mack is well remembered by many who admired and looked up to him but may not learn of this to ackowledge his passing at this time. A school, such as Coulmbia, disperses graduates all over the nation and some foreign countries as well. I am praying for your entire family during this time of sadness.
