All I know is that she narrated Caillou, and she was amazing! Even though I was never allowed to watch Caillou, I loved her soothing voice! I was allowed to watch it up until my mom discovered how much he wined.

I was 19 when I first appreciated what a character Merlee was because we shared an ability to do dialects that has us both rolling with laughter. She was much better than I was at the Yiddish, but i think my Indian accent edged hers out. Her strict appearance and bearing masked a huge sense of humor that I loved and will forever miss. Her dignity and presence in her final years should be an inspiration to all who knew her and loved her. Catherine and I extend our sincere regrets to cousins Chrissy, Philip and Linda.
