Thinking of Merlyn the same time every year. I miss our e-mail chats about singers, politics and the world in general.

Thinking of Merlyn, our stimulating conversations on every conceivable topic, and our shared enjoyment of great singers. He is missed.

I remember Merlyn fondly - and our shared love for wonderful music and singing. May he rest in peace.

I often think of Merlyn and wish we'd had the opportunity to meet in person. He was a decent, intelligent man and his friendship from afar meant a great deal to me. Tom Heyes, New Zealand.

I met Dr. Minick years ago when I worked as a public relations representative at Eastern Michigan University. It was through his work rehabilitating injured raptors, that I often came face-to-face with some magnificent birds. I developed an admiration for them - and the trained biologist that cared for them. I occasionally think of Dr. Minick when I hear an owl hoot in the pines across the street from my house...or see a beautiful migratory hawk perched in a tree along the highway. He will be missed.
