I met Ritt in 1961 shortly after the family moved to Kentfield and through neighbors we became friends and ended up with similar likes or in his case passions. He
was passionate about 3 Fs, Family, Friends and Firefighting. Though I didn't spend as much time with him as I would liked my wife and I will deeply miss him.
Jennifer, you Ben and Bonnie have my deepest condolences.
We lost a good one.

Ritt was an incredible human being, and more than anyone could expect from a fire officer. His advocacy for the troops was non-stop. He walked the talk, and led by example. He always got a gleam in his eye while recalling a tough fire. We should all aspire to emulate Ritt. Rest in peace, my friend.
