Dear Alison - I apologize for this late entry, but I only just happened upon your father's obituary tonight as I was trying to find you on Facebook, to connect after many years and came across the link to this Guest Book. While I have not seen you since our days growing up in West Hartford and occasionally through college years, we were fortunate to have become friends. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy in the passing of your father. Ironically, I lost my mother exactly one month prior to your dad's passing, so I know only too well the great sense of loss you now feel. The following year of firsts is always difficult, but time does help...as well as great memories. We were in Atlanta until 2005, returning to CT upon the passing of my father. I send my deepest sympathy to you and your family and hope your father's spirit lives within the heart of your family always. Warmly, Lisa (Masse), Jay, Nicholas and Zachary Bremmer (Glastonbury, CT)

Dear Lentz Family;

Merle and I want to send you our heart-felt sympathy for the loss of your father, Merv. I know that you know what a tremendous guy he was, and when I came in contact with him, the warmth and the energy that flowed from him to me was wonderful. I admired him tremendously.

Warmest regards,

David and Merle Trager

I've known Merv for 10 years and during that time he showed himself to be a true gentleman and friend. Merv loved music--especially The Great American Songbook. He often came out to see me play piano over the years and it was always a joy to have him there. He was a great audience!!
We will miss hearing his voice singing along and the treat of seeing him dance to "New York,New York." Our sincere condolences to Merv's family and all who loved him.
