November 5, 2008 age 30 of Canton. Beloved daughter of James and Barbara. Dear sister of Matthew James and Martin Gilbert (Julie). Loving aunt of Amanda, Joshua and Edgar, Also survived by grandparents, Norman and Wilma Oliver, best friends, Janelle Leschinger and Kerry Corrow and loves of her life, felines Lexus and Mercedes. Mia was a double lung transplant recipient and celebrated this "birthday" on September 15, 2007 and 2008. Her spirit will live on by her donation of several organs and tissues. Services Monday 1 pm at the Gillies Funeral Home, 201 N. 2nd St., Lincoln, MI. Family will receive friends Friday and Saturday 2 - 8 pm. at the Uht Funeral Home, 35400 Glenwood Rd., Westland, and Sunday 2 - 8 pm at Gillies Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the Alcona County Humane Society, Lincoln, MI or the National Lung Transplant Foundation.
