Argabrite Family,
My husband John and I are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. I knew Scott from Waynesburg College, as we attended at the same time. He was a genuine person, and had a wonderful sense of humor. Words cannot describe the loss of a husband, father, son, and brother. Remember he is watching over each and everyone of you as is God. May you find peace and strength.

Scott was one of my good friends growing up in high school. Through the years we had grown apart but no matter where he went he always inspired others to be great. I will miss him dearly and will never forget him. My prayers go out to his family and friends.

Our prayers and daily thoughts are with the Argabrite family. Coach A touched the lives of so many, both young and old. His influence and positive attitude inspired our son Stephen in many ways and has made a lasting impression on him that will carry him through his life. The Coach was a compassionate man who loved teaching and the Steelers and we talked many times about the games! He had a great love for life and his family. He loved his students just as much. Our son will surely strive harder to be more like Coach A. Stephen tells everyone that he thought of Coach A as his second father. God is good. If Stephen could bring himself to write something at this time, if his sorrow weren't so great, I as a parent think he would write the following: "In my father's house are many mansions, I hope mine is next to your's."

Dear Argabrite family,
I never met Scott Argabrite in person; but after his illness began I learned to know and love him and Lisa through my grandchildren who attended St. James Middle. They shared with me the pleasure it was to see his smile and know he would be there to help any of the students or staff even though he never taught either of them. These two young people followed Coach A's illness because in 2005 they lost their dad to kidney disease at age 32. I learned that Scott was a great teacher, a good father, and will be missed deeply. However, be proud of him. Even in the depth of his illness, Michael Scott Argabrite made a difference. His courage, his faith, his fight-all these things brought a community and a school together like never before. Lessons were learned by these young people that will never be forgotten. I'm glad I learned about the Argabrite family; I'm sorry it was because of illness. A parent always dreams of seeing a child be successful. Scott's parents should be thrilled at his accomplishments even in illness. Be strong and keep your faith alive. Heaven is a better place today because of your sacrifice.
May God bless.
