Michael Balko Obituary
Great Falls - Michael John "Mike" Balko, 77, of Great Falls passed away March 10, 2018.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, March 16, 2018 at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel, 1410 13th Street South.
Mike was born June 20, 1940 in Great Falls. He received a B.S. from the College of Great Falls (1962) and a M.S.Ed at Western Montana College (1976). He married Carla Mack April 26, 1985. She died June 2, 1989.
Mike was a teacher in Great Falls for many years and a long time member of the Weapons Collector Society of Montana.
He is survived by his nieces Michelle (Cliff) Lewis, Denver, CO; Erin (Javier) Rivera, Denver, CO; and Tara Balko, Great Falls.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carla; parents John and Orillia; and brother Russell.

Mickey was a dear cousin who I shared fun times when were quite small. He became a great teacher for GF . Hadn't seen him for many years but know he is now with brother and mom and dad.

Mike taught with us at East Middle School. He was a good teacher, helped with computer problems, and was a supportive friend. He entertained us throughout the years with his humor. Rest in Peace, Mike.

So sorry to hear this ! Mike was a very nice guy! I knew him at Loy school long time ago and he still always spoke and talked whenever we ran into each other. And he Knew his old antique guns too! Rest In Peace , Mike.
