Sorry to hear of Michael’s passing. Fred Wisegarver class of 71

I've known Mike since high school and have been dear friends with him for over 50 years. Our lives have crossed in an extraordinary number of ways. We never had a cross word, we could communicate at the deepest and most personal levels, and he could make me laugh like no one else. He defines the word mensch, meaning his caring, generosity, and attitude were off the chart. We've done too many things together to attempt to innumerate, and losing him leaves an empty space in me that can never be filled. Goodbye, my friend, you will be missed more than you could ever imagine by many.

How do you say goodbye to a true and loving friend? Mike was astonishingly intelligent, intuitive and very funny. Being with Mike was like spending time with a brother who loves and respects you. His kindness and generosity in all things will be sorely missed.
Mike endured his slow decline in health with dignity and grace. He could not have had better care, than with his loving Sue, by his side.
As a veterinarian he cared for those who could not speak for themselves. His compassion, empathy and dedicated skills enabled a multitude of pets and their owners years of happiness and trusted care.
As I will miss him so much...I like to think that when Mike crossed over that "Rainbow Bridge" there was a greeting of unbridled happiness and flying fur to greet him.

My deepest condolences to the family on this terrible loss. Dr B was my family vet for 35 years, the best vet ever and one of the kindest, most caring people I have ever known. He was one in a million. I am imagining that wherever the afterlife is, surely he will be greeted by all of the animals he cared for over the years. What a beautiful welcome that would be!

The little things like playing catch, the bee bee gun Rich and I would bug him so often to go shoot, the rides to Disney or sitting in his office at his practice listening to him work, those are the moments I´ll always cherish. I miss you and promise a day doesn´t go by where I won´t think of you. I love you Dad.

Mike began treating my pets in 1975 and he was the best veterinarian I have ever known. I treasured his wacky sense of humor, as did my husband. The world has lost a fine human being and I will always miss him.

He was the best veterinarian we´ve ever had, so passionate, Dr B and my husband would sit for a long time talking about all kinds of things when we´d take one of our pets in for a check up. Our thoughts and prayers are with his loving and wonderful wife and family. RIP Mike and take care of our fur babies.

Michael was a gentle soul; educated, compassionate and a genuine listener. His eyes were his truth; his smile was his unselfish welcome. Learning from him was constant, even in his silent communication. His voice was always a calming spirit; an order of settling down. He loved his Sue like no other. He carries her for eternity.

Mike and I shared mountain streams and a love for nature and the beauty of a fine bamboo fly rod . He was a quietly intelligent man who appreciated beauty and loved to laugh. He was my friend.

Mike was a multifaceted guy. Brilliant, kind, generous, loved to tell jokes; so much goodness. If I had to choose one facet I will miss the most is Mike's laughter. He never failed to make me laugh.
