Hello~ my name is Kat. I did not know Micheal, but I heard of him from a Husky friend of his, Mike Farley. I am deeply sorry for your lose of your loved one. I met Mike Farley at the Saturday Husky game vs, Cal. I am a cancer survivor and my goal an dream is to help find a cure for Leukemia and Lymphoma. I run with Team in Training and am preparing to run a marathon at Disneyland in January. My heart is affected by each story, which there are far too many, and my passion to run is energized. Yes, I run for my health & because I am a survivor, but it becomes so much bigger than that when you run with greater purpose! It becomes less about me and it is about those who are in the battle and those who have lost ones that they love...I will continue to Chase the Dream for a Cure! Mike donated to LLS and my personal mission in honor of your loved one. I will be adding Mike Benner's name to my wings as i run my race in his memory, and the memory and honor of many others, and to our team prayer list. If you wish you can read the great work Husky fans are doing toward the cause

There are people that come into our lives and touch us in such a way that forever moves us. Michael, we know you through the amazing love and kindness that are a part of Matt and Sarah. May the gift you gave of adventurous spirit, courage in the toughest of times, enduring strength and love, including your Huskies passion, be cherished and passed forward. God be with you.

Ben,
I'm already missing the rehash of this year's football games. You were a true friend and a "Best Man". Thanks for all the memories. Amazing how fast 47 years go bye. I know you will be pulling for us in our next PPP endeavor.
The South Sound (viewed from his deck) was Mike's playground.

We rowed together on the UW Crew, at the Crewhouse we made DQ Runs & even raided the kitchen. But I will always value these last 20 years of friendship - golf, tennis, traveling to away games and staying at military VIP Quarters after your Army retirement. Wherever the Huskies played, we'd have been there at one time or another..... with other OLD OAR alums! Weigh Enough! You rowed a great race! We all loved you, Uncle Ben!!!

Michael, I am so happy to have met you. You were quite a guy and lived a wonderful life. Your passion for the University of Washington was very strong, and so a big "Go Huskies!!" for you! Your greatest gift was your son and daughter, Matt and Sarah. They are amazing people. Thank you for them.

Dr. B - memories of Husky games and your spirit for life shine bright. I hope you are in a place where you get a hole-in-one every day and the Dawgs are undefeated. You are deeply missed.

Michael! I am glad we connected that evening before you moved on but there is another hole in our lives by your passing. You were, are, and always will be a gentleman and class act. A kind and "gentle" man we all respected. I will see you someday my friend. Until then, enjoy endless time with Victoria and also... say hi to Fred for me. Until we meet again friend.
