Michael Mikey Connor Berkeley

Michael Connor "Mikey" Berkeley, 35, passed away on May 30, 2025, in Hillsboro, Oregon. Born on November 26, 1989, in Glendale, Arizona, Michael brought warmth and compassion into the lives of those who knew him. Michael was the beloved son of Lori and Gregg Berkeley. He was a cherished nephew to Steve and Judy Berkeley, Dave and Chris Berkeley, Kevin Berkeley and Pat and John Meyers. His cousins-Alex Berkeley, Keara Berkeley, Kenna Berkeley, Emily Meyers, Matthew Meyers, and Alex Hurtardo-shared many memories with him throughout the years. He was a devoted partner to Faith Sonders and a loving father to his daughter Suzie. Michael's love for Suzie was boundless; he was crazy about her and dedicated himself to being present in her life. In recent times, he had made significant strides in his personal journey-working hard to maintain sobriety and build a strong foundation for his family. Michael's life was marked by both struggle and resilience. He faced the challenges of addiction with courage and determination. His recent sobriety reflected his deep commitment to change and his desire to be the best father he could be. Those close to him witnessed his efforts with admiration and hope. May Michael's memory bring comfort to those who loved him and strength to those continuing their own journeys of healing.

Michael was my older brother when I was a child. My only memories of him are joyful ones. I loved him immensely. He was a strong presence, playful and fun, my first exposure to the exciting possibilities of childhood and being a teenager. He shared with me my future interests in music, Dragon Ball Z, Karate and Xbox, and he joined me on occasion at soccer practice. He was caring and protective and looked out for Emily and me.

Michael was one of my earliest role models. I was so proud that he was my cousin, and I´m still proud. I love him. My thoughts and prayers to you Uncle Gregg and Aunt Doll, I love you both. The Berkeley family always felt like home.

Amy and I are so sorry for your loss. I can still remember our epic day at the Miramar Air Show when Michael and our son Casey were little boys enjoying each others company as "besties" for the day and just being boys around cool airplanes! RIP
