I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your dad. I know how difficult it is to let him go. He was a great man. I know he will always remain in your hearts and his great memories will live on in our family forever.

My deepest sympathy to Angela, Janet, and Mickey for the loss of my uncle and my mentor. I was 16 when I met him for the first time and he immediately treated me like his own son. He took me under his wing and he even took me for my first haircut in America. I'm sure you know that when I left the chair all of my long wavy hair was gone, but his facial expression said it all. His craftsmanship was undeniable and he tried to teach me some of his carpentry trade. As time went on he realized that carpentry was not for me and he pushed me to pursue an education. I'll never forget the words he said to me after my college graduation, Nicolino, You did it. I told you, you could do it. Thank you Uncle Mike for your guidance and your vision of my future, I hope I've made you proud. I'm so sorry that I was not able to be by your bedside to say goodbye, but until we meet again, I say thank you for all the good memories and for the trust you put in me. Ciao.

An incredible, hardworking man who taught many young kids how to be a real Carpenter and was a great example to the Bertone and DeCesare families and beyond.

Look at what Uncle Mike was able to accomplish with the little that he had. A source of great pride and inspiration for all who know him.
